No marathon yet. That’s in September. We’ve been struggling with motivation. Our photographic fire seems to have dwindled to the embers and we’re trying to revive it.
How do you stay interested and motivated?
Wow what a deep question…I’m not sure it’s one that I can answer. One factor may be that I spent from 1975 to 1999 as a pro-photographer and in 2000 sold all my gear. In 2004, my wife bought me a Canon Rebel (quickly replaced by a Canon 5D)
I think that the change in technique required for digital – plus the three year sabbatical – rekindled my passion, the latter feeling being the emotion that creates the interest and/or motivation.
How to get the passion back? Read photographic and art books, steal ideas and give them your own interpretation, making sure that they are do-able.
