Great sense of scale in this shot. I really like how the grass is leaning out creating a hole in the middle and the brightest part of the sky seems to fill in that hole. Provides great balance which I really like. I’m wondering though if it suffers a little from a lack of a clear subject. There’s some cool things to look at but nothing that the eye is really led to. What do you think? Think the entire scene is the subject?
I had similar thoughts as I was working on this one. What my eye goes to is the detail in the clouds. I think the sky was really my focus in these pics. But really I guess I was going for the whole scene.
This is an Ansel Adams shot that Matt is trying to plagiarize!
I don’t think the scene needs a point of interest. It causes an emotion.
You see a lot of this kind of photography in Ansel’s stuff.
Good on you, son!
